How to Make Party Pan Nachos
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line two large jelly-roll pans with foil.
- In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and green pepper and sauté until tender, about 5-7 minutes.
- Push the vegetables to one side of the skillet. Add the remaining 1 tablespoon of oil and the chili powder. Cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
- Stir the cooked vegetables into the chili powder mixture and remove from the pan. Set aside.
- In the same skillet, brown the ground beef, breaking it up with a spoon. Drain off any excess fat.
- Return the cooked vegetables to the skillet. Add the drained beans, salt, pepper, cumin, garlic powder, and picante sauce. Simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Layer the Tostitos tortilla chips evenly in the prepared pans, slightly overlapping.
- Spread the meat mixture evenly over the chips.
- Top with the shredded cheese.
- Bake for 3-5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve immediately with your favorite nacho toppings (sour cream, guacamole, jalapeños, etc.) for a build-your-own nacho bar!
