  • 6 slices bacon
  • Sea Scallops
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons chopped scallions
  • Toothpicks

How to Make Alouette Bacon Wrapped Scallops And Shrimp

  1. Prepare all ingredients.
  2. Heat a large sauté pan over medium-high heat for 5 minutes.
  3. Fry 6 bacon strips for 1 minute per side, until almost crisp but still pliable. Remove and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain.
  4. Discard bacon grease from pan.
  5. Add 1 tablespoon of olive oil to the pan. Sear 12 large sea scallops for 2-3 minutes per side, until caramelized and opaque. Set aside.
  6. Add another 1 tablespoon of olive oil to the pan. Sauté 1 pound of shrimp for 2-3 minutes per side, until pink and cooked through. Set aside.
  7. Spread 1/2 tablespoon of Alouette cheese on each bacon strip.
  8. Wrap each scallop with an Alouette-covered bacon strip and secure with a toothpick.
  9. Wrap each shrimp with an Alouette-covered bacon strip and secure with a toothpick.
  10. Arrange bacon-wrapped scallops and shrimp on a platter.
  11. Sprinkle with 2 tablespoons of chopped scallions.
  12. Serve immediately.
