How to Make Asian Beef Skewers 3 Points

  1. Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
  2. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning.
  3. In a large resealable gallon-size plastic bag, combine the following ingredients: 1 lb thinly sliced beef sirloin, 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce, 2 tablespoons rice vinegar, 1 tablespoon honey, 1 tablespoon sesame oil, 1 teaspoon grated ginger, 1 clove garlic (minced), 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper.
  4. Seal the bag, pressing out excess air. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes, or up to 4 hours for maximum flavor.
  5. Remove the beef from the marinade using tongs. Discard the marinade.
  6. Thread the beef strips onto 16 six-inch metal or soaked wooden skewers, piercing each piece several times for even cooking.
  7. Grill the skewers for approximately 5-7 minutes per side, or until the beef is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).
  8. Serve immediately with Chinese mustard, duck sauce, and/or soy sauce for dipping.

Chef's Tip for Extra Flavor

Small additions can make a big impact! Try a sprinkle of fresh herbs, a dash of your favorite spice blend, or a squeeze of citrus just before serving to really enhance the flavors of your dish.
