How to Make Banana Cream Pie Trifle

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour and ¾ cup granulated sugar.
  3. Cut in ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, using a pastry blender or your fingers, until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Press the crumb mixture into a 9x9 inch baking dish. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
