- Drain off excess grease.
- Stir in 1 cup Bull's-Eye Open Pit barbecue sauce and 2 tablespoons brown sugar.
- Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Place one biscuit into each muffin cup, pressing it gently into the bottom and up the sides to form a cup.
- Spoon approximately 1/4 cup of the beef and barbecue mixture into each biscuit cup.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the biscuits are almost cooked through.
- Remove from oven and sprinkle each cup generously with 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or your preferred cheese).
- Return to the oven for 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let cool for 1 minute before carefully removing from the muffin tin and serving. Enjoy!
Chef's Tip for Extra Flavor
Chef's secret: layers of flavor make a dish truly memorable! Consider what a little extra something could bring – perhaps a touch of acidity like a good vinegar or citrus zest, a hint of smokiness from paprika, a bit of umami from mushrooms or soy sauce, or a sprinkle of toasted nuts for texture. Experiment and taste as you go!
