- 1 medium onion, thinly sliced

- Green Beans
- 100g mushrooms, sliced (cremini or shiitake recommended)

- Beef Stock
- Bean Sprouts
- Hokkien Noodles
How to Make Beef And Black Bean Sauce
- Heat the vegetable oil in a wok or large frying pan over medium-high heat.
- Add the sliced onion and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until softened.
- Add the thinly sliced steak and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until browned.
- Stir in the black beans and mushrooms. Stir-fry for another 2 minutes.
- Add the black bean sauce, stock, and salt and pepper. Stir well to combine.
- Bring the sauce to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 1 minute to allow the flavors to meld.
- Stir in the bean sprouts and cook for 30 seconds until just wilted.
- Serve immediately over cooked noodles or rice. Garnish with chopped chili, if desired.
