Ingredients for Beef Fried Rice

  • Ground Beef
  • 2 large eggs
  • Black Pepper
  • Vegetable Oil
  • Cooked Long Grain Rice
  • Onions
  • Soy Sauce
  • Sugar
  • Brown Sugar

How to Make Beef Fried Rice

  1. Cut beef into small, bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of oil over medium-high heat. Add beef and cook until no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk 2 large eggs with a pinch of black pepper.
  4. In the same skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of oil over medium heat.
  5. Pour in the egg mixture and cook, gently lifting the edges to allow uncooked egg to flow underneath, until set. Remove from skillet and chop into strips.
  6. Add 1 cup of cooked rice to the skillet. (Note: day-old rice works best!)
  7. Add 1/2 cup chopped onion, 1/2 cup chopped carrots, and 1/2 cup frozen peas to the skillet. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until slightly softened.
  8. Add the cooked beef and scrambled eggs back to the skillet.
  9. Stir in 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce (optional), and 1 teaspoon of sesame oil.
  10. Cook and stir over medium-low heat for 5 minutes, or until heated through and flavors have combined.
  11. Serve hot and garnish with chopped green onions, if desired.

Chef's Tip for Extra Flavor

Elevate your dish with simple flavor boosters! A final flourish of freshly chopped herbs can add incredible brightness, while a squeeze of lemon or lime juice right before serving can awaken all the flavors. Don't underestimate a sprinkle of quality finishing salt or a drizzle of good olive oil to make your creation shine.
