How to Make Pizza Steak
- In a shallow dish, combine flour, salt, and pepper.
- Lightly dredge each steak in the flour mixture, ensuring both sides are coated.
- Gently pound steaks to an even thickness of about 1/2 inch using a meat mallet.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add sliced onions to the skillet and cook until softened and lightly browned, about 5 minutes. Remove onions from skillet and set aside.
- Add steaks to the skillet and brown well on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Return the cooked onions to the skillet, piling them on top of the steaks.
- Pour pizza sauce evenly over the steaks and onions.
- Cover the skillet, reduce heat to medium-low, and simmer for 10-12 minutes, or until the steaks are cooked through to your desired doneness.
- Remove the lid, and sprinkle Parmesan and mozzarella cheese evenly over the top.
- Cover the skillet and cook for another 3-5 minutes, or until the cheeses are melted and bubbly.
- Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious Pizza Steak!
