Ingredients for Pizza Steak

  • Plain Flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Boneless Eye Of Round Beef Steak
  • Onion
  • Canola Oil
  • 1 (24-ounce) jar pizza sauce
  • Parmesan Cheese
  • Mozzarella Cheese

How to Make Pizza Steak

  1. In a shallow dish, combine flour, salt, and pepper.
  2. Lightly dredge each steak in the flour mixture, ensuring both sides are coated.
  3. Gently pound steaks to an even thickness of about 1/2 inch using a meat mallet.
  4. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Add sliced onions to the skillet and cook until softened and lightly browned, about 5 minutes. Remove onions from skillet and set aside.
  6. Add steaks to the skillet and brown well on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  7. Return the cooked onions to the skillet, piling them on top of the steaks.
  8. Pour pizza sauce evenly over the steaks and onions.
  9. Cover the skillet, reduce heat to medium-low, and simmer for 10-12 minutes, or until the steaks are cooked through to your desired doneness.
  10. Remove the lid, and sprinkle Parmesan and mozzarella cheese evenly over the top.
  11. Cover the skillet and cook for another 3-5 minutes, or until the cheeses are melted and bubbly.
  12. Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious Pizza Steak!

Chef's Tip for Extra Flavor

Small additions can make a big impact! Try a sprinkle of fresh herbs, a dash of your favorite spice blend, or a squeeze of citrus just before serving to really enhance the flavors of your dish.
