- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour an 8x8 inch baking pan.

- In a separate bowl, whisk together 1 cup (125g) gluten-free all-purpose flour, 1/2 cup (40g) unsweetened cocoa powder, 1 teaspoon baking powder, 1/2 cup (60g) chopped nuts (optional), and 1/2 cup (70g) chocolate chips (optional).
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
