Ingredients for Alpine Chicken In The Crock Pot

  • Chicken Bouillon Granules
  • Parsley
  • Poultry Seasoning
  • 4 ounces Canadian bacon, sliced
  • Broccoli Stems
  • 2 stalks celery, chopped
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 cup water
  • Chicken Cutlets
  • Cheddar Cheese Soup
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • Wide Egg Noodles
  • Pimientos
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

How to Make Alpine Chicken In The Crock Pot

  1. Whisk together the seasoning mix ingredients (see below) and set aside.
  2. Layer the following in your crock pot: 4 ounces Canadian bacon, 2 cups broccoli florets, 2 stalks celery (chopped), 1 medium onion (chopped). Pour 1 cup of water over the vegetables.
  3. Place half of the chicken (about 1.5 lbs) in the crock pot. Sprinkle with half of the seasoning mix. Add the remaining chicken (about 1.5 lbs) and sprinkle with the remaining seasoning mix.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup and 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour until smooth. Pour evenly over the chicken.
  5. **Do not stir!**
  6. Cover and cook on high for 2-2.5 hours or on low for 5-7 hours. While the chicken cooks, cook your noodles according to package directions. Spread cooked noodles in a 2-2.5 quart broiler-safe dish.
  7. Carefully remove the chicken from the crock pot and arrange it over the noodles.
  8. Mix the sauce and vegetables from the crock pot and pour evenly over the chicken and noodles.
  9. Sprinkle with 2 tablespoons chopped pimentos and 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese.
  10. Broil 6 inches from the heat for 6-8 minutes, or until the cheese is lightly browned and bubbly.

Chef's Tip for Extra Flavor

Elevate your dish with simple flavor boosters! A final flourish of freshly chopped herbs can add incredible brightness, while a squeeze of lemon or lime juice right before serving can awaken all the flavors. Don't underestimate a sprinkle of quality finishing salt or a drizzle of good olive oil to make your creation shine.
