  • 6 pounds of peeled and cored apples
  • 1 cup apple cider
  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • Ground Cinnamon
  • Ground Cloves
  • Allspice

How to Make Apple Butter

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Core and quarter 6 pounds of peeled apples.

  8. Bring to a gentle boil, stirring frequently to prevent sticking. Continue to cook and stir until the sugar dissolves completely.
  9. Reduce heat to low and simmer gently for 30-45 minutes, or until the apple butter reaches your desired thickness, stirring frequently to prevent burning.
  10. Remove from heat and let cool completely. Store in airtight containers in the refrigerator or freezer.
