How to Make Apple Cabbage Strudel
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the shredded cabbage, thinly sliced apples, raisins, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Gently toss to coat.
- Lay out a sheet of phyllo dough on a lightly floured surface. Brush lightly with melted butter.
- Layer another sheet of phyllo dough on top, brushing with butter again. Repeat until you have 4-5 layers.
- Spread the apple cabbage mixture evenly over the phyllo dough, leaving a 2-inch border.
- Carefully roll up the strudel from the long side, tucking in the ends to seal.
- Place the strudel seam-down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the top with remaining melted butter.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
