How to Make Apple Gingersnap Crisp

  2. Add 3 medium apples (peeled, cored, and sliced) to the skillet and sauté for 5 minutes, or until tender.
  3. Stir in 2 tablespoons of apple juice, 1/4 cup of granulated sugar, 1 tablespoon of grated fresh ginger, and 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon.

  12. Garnish with whole gingersnaps, if desired. Serve warm.

Chef's Tip for Extra Flavor

Want to unlock deeper, more complex flavors? Try toasting your whole spices before grinding them, or blooming ground spices in a little warm oil to enhance their aroma. Deglazing your pan with a bit of stock, wine, or even water after browning ingredients can capture those tasty caramelized bits, adding richness to your dish.
