How to Make Abc S Sauteed Apple Brussels Sprouts And Cabbage

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter (optional) in a large, heavy-bottomed pan over medium-high heat.
  2. Add 1 medium onion, thinly sliced, and sauté for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until softened and lightly browned.
  3. Season with 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon black pepper.
  4. Reduce heat to medium, add 2 cloves garlic, minced, and stir for 30 seconds. Add 1 medium apple, cored and thinly sliced, and cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring to deglaze the pan.

  6. Stir in 2 tablespoons apple juice, 1/4 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg, and 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley. Simmer uncovered on the stovetop for 15-20 minutes, or until vegetables are tender, stirring occasionally. Alternatively, cover and bake in a preheated 350°F (175°C) oven for 20-25 minutes.
  7. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed before serving.
