  • 1 gallon (3.8 liters) apple juice
  • 3-8 cinnamon sticks
  • 1/2 cup (100g) honey
  • White Rum
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • Allspice

How to Make Apple Pie Spirits

  1. Pour 1 gallon (3.8 liters) of apple juice into a large kettle or pot.
  2. Add 3-8 cinnamon sticks (adjust to your preferred spice level) and 1/2 teaspoon of ground nutmeg.
  3. Heat over medium heat until warm. Add 1/2 cup (100g) of honey and 2 tablespoons of lemon juice. Stir until the honey is completely dissolved.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in 1/5 of a bottle (approximately 200ml) of good quality white rum.
  5. Serve warm or allow to cool completely before serving.
  6. Garnish with a cinnamon stick and a lemon wedge (optional).
