How to Make Asian Barbecue Chicken
- In a large resealable plastic bag, combine 1/4 cup soy sauce, 2 tablespoons honey, 2 tablespoons rice vinegar, 1 tablespoon sesame oil, 1 teaspoon grated ginger, and 1 clove minced garlic.
- Add 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts to the bag.
- Seal the bag, pressing out excess air. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, turning occasionally.
- Prepare your grill for medium-high heat.
- Remove chicken from the bag, reserving the marinade.
- In a small saucepan, bring the reserved marinade to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 1 minute.
- Lightly spray the grill grates with cooking spray.
- Place chicken on the prepared grill.
- Grill for 10-12 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C), basting frequently with the cooked marinade.
- Garnish with fresh lime wedges and chopped green onions before serving.
Chef's Tip for Extra Flavor
Small additions can make a big impact! Try a sprinkle of fresh herbs, a dash of your favorite spice blend, or a squeeze of citrus just before serving to really enhance the flavors of your dish.
