How to Make Asian Black Pepper Crab
- Clean and prepare 1.5 lbs of live Atlantic blue crabs. (Rinse thoroughly and remove any unwanted parts).
- In a large bowl, whisk together 2 tbsp black peppercorns, 1 tbsp minced garlic, 2 tbsp ginger (minced), 2 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp rice wine, 1 tbsp sesame oil, and 1 tsp sugar.
- Heat 4 tbsp vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the crabs to the wok and stir-fry for 5-7 minutes until bright red and slightly crispy.
- Pour the black pepper sauce over the crabs and toss to coat evenly.
- Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until the sauce thickens and the crabs are cooked through.
