How to Make Baby Food Chicken
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake chicken breast for 25-30 minutes, or until cooked through. Let cool, then shred.
- While chicken bakes, bake or boil the cubed potato until tender (about 15-20 minutes). Drain and mash or leave in cubes.
- Melt butter in a small saucepan over low heat.
- Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
- Gradually whisk in milk until smooth and creamy. Bring to a simmer, stirring constantly.
- Reduce heat to low. Stir in cheese (if using) until melted.
- Add shredded chicken and potato to the sauce. Stir to combine.
- Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, and other spices according to your baby's age and tolerance. Start with smaller amounts and gradually increase as needed.
- Serve warm. Refrigerate leftovers within 2 hours.
