How to Make Bacon And Eggs Anyone

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Boil potatoes in salted water until tender but not mushy (about 10-12 minutes). Drain well and set aside.
  3. In a large saucepan, melt margarine over medium heat. Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly, until smooth.
  4. Gradually whisk in heavy cream. Cook, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens (about 5 minutes).
  5. Reduce heat to low. Stir in cheddar cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper until cheese is melted and sauce is smooth.
  6. Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  7. Layer half of the sliced eggs in the baking dish. Top with half of the crumbled bacon and half of the cheese sauce.
  8. Spread the cooked potatoes evenly over the cheese sauce.
  9. Top with the remaining egg slices, bacon, and cheese sauce.
  10. In a small bowl, combine breadcrumbs with 3 tablespoons of melted margarine. Sprinkle evenly over the casserole.
  11. Cover the baking dish with foil and refrigerate overnight.
  12. Before baking, remove casserole from the refrigerator and let it stand at room temperature for 20 minutes.
  13. Remove foil and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown and heated through.
