Ingredients for Bacon Cheddar Stuffed Burgers

  • Ground Beef
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 6 slices bacon
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Hamburger Buns

How to Make Bacon Cheddar Stuffed Burgers

  1. Fry 6 slices bacon until crisp. Remove from pan and crumble reserving 1/4 cup for topping.
  2. In a large bowl, gently combine 2 lbs ground beef, 1 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp black pepper, 1 tsp garlic powder, and 1/2 tsp onion powder.
  3. Shape the beef mixture into 12 large, thin patties (about 1/2 inch thick).
  4. Top 6 patties with 1 tablespoon crumbled bacon and 1 tablespoon shredded cheddar cheese.
  5. Place the remaining 6 patties on top of the cheese/bacon-topped patties and gently press the edges to seal.
  6. Grill or broil the stuffed burgers for 3-4 minutes per side, or until cooked to your desired doneness. (We recommend well-done for food safety).
  7. During the last 2 minutes of cooking, top each burger with the remaining crumbled bacon and a sprinkle of extra cheddar cheese.
  8. Serve immediately on toasted buns with your favorite burger toppings.

Chef's Tip for Extra Flavor

Small additions can make a big impact! Try a sprinkle of fresh herbs, a dash of your favorite spice blend, or a squeeze of citrus just before serving to really enhance the flavors of your dish.
