Ingredients for Bacon Cheesebuger Meatloaf

  • 2 lbs ground chuck
  • 1 cup crumbled bacon (about 6-8 slices)
  • Sharp Cheddar Cheese
  • Eggs
  • Breadcrumbs
  • Mayonnaise
  • Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Ground Black Pepper
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • Prepared Mustard
  • 1/2 cup French fried onions

How to Make Bacon Cheesebuger Meatloaf

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, gently combine 2 lbs ground chuck, 1 cup crumbled bacon, 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese, 1/2 cup finely chopped onion, 1/4 cup finely chopped green bell pepper, 1/4 cup bread crumbs, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon onion powder, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 1/4 teaspoon black pepper. Mix until just combined; be careful not to overmix.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together 1/2 cup ketchup and 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard.
  4. Stir 1/4 cup of the ketchup mixture into the meat mixture, reserving the remaining for glazing.
  5. Place 3 slices of bread in the bottom of a 9x5x3 inch loaf pan. This will help absorb excess grease.
  6. Press the meat mixture into the prepared loaf pan, shaping it evenly.
  7. Spread the remaining ketchup mixture evenly over the top of the meatloaf.
  8. Bake for 40 minutes.
  9. Top with 1/2 cup French fried onions.
  10. Bake for another 10-15 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C) and the meat is no longer pink.

Chef's Tip for Extra Flavor

Small additions can make a big impact! Try a sprinkle of fresh herbs, a dash of your favorite spice blend, or a squeeze of citrus just before serving to really enhance the flavors of your dish.
