- 4 slices bacon, diced
- Orzo Pasta
- Shallot
- Long Grain Rice
- Low Sodium Chicken Broth
- 1/2 cup water

How to Make Bacon Shallot Rice Pilaf
- Dice bacon and cook in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat until browned and crispy, about 5-7 minutes, turning frequently. Remove bacon with a slotted spoon and set aside on a paper towel-lined plate to drain.
- Add orzo to the saucepan and cook, stirring frequently, for 3-4 minutes until lightly toasted.
- Add sliced shallots to the saucepan and cook, stirring occasionally, until softened and translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
- Stir in Arborio rice to coat with the bacon fat in the pan.
- Pour in chicken broth and water. Add salt.
