Ingredients for Beef Macaroni Dinner

  • 1 pound macaroni
  • 1 (24 ounce) jar tomato sauce
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1/4 cup water (optional)
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • Canned Green Beans
  • Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • Canned Corn
  • Basil

How to Make Beef Macaroni Dinner

  1. Cook 1 pound of macaroni according to package directions.
  2. Drain the macaroni and set aside. In a large bowl, add 1 (24 ounce) jar of tomato sauce to the drained macaroni and mix well.
  3. In a large skillet, brown 1 pound of ground beef and 1/2 cup chopped onion over medium-high heat. Drain off any excess grease.
  4. Add the macaroni and tomato sauce mixture to the skillet. Stir in 1 (15 ounce) can of diced tomatoes (undrained), 1 cup of frozen mixed vegetables, 1 teaspoon of dried oregano, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, and 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper.
  5. Mix well, cover the skillet, and simmer over low heat for 10-15 minutes, or until bubbly and heated through. Stir occasionally and add 1/4 cup of water if needed to prevent sticking.
  6. Serve hot and enjoy! Garnish with freshly grated Parmesan cheese (optional).

Chef's Tip for Extra Flavor

Want to unlock deeper, more complex flavors? Try toasting your whole spices before grinding them, or blooming ground spices in a little warm oil to enhance their aroma. Deglazing your pan with a bit of stock, wine, or even water after browning ingredients can capture those tasty caramelized bits, adding richness to your dish.
