Ingredients for Banana Toffee Bread Pudding
- 3 ripe bananas
- Unsalted Butter
- Clear Honey
- Dark Brown Sugar
- 6 slices of bread
- Whole Milk
- Double Cream
How to Make Banana Toffee Bread Pudding
- Preheat oven to 220°C/425°F/Gas Mark 7.
- Cut 6 slices of bread in half diagonally.
- In a medium pan, gently melt 50g of butter.
- Stir in 2 tbsp honey and 50g brown sugar until melted and combined.
- Add 3 ripe bananas, mashed.
- In a separate saucepan, gently heat 200ml whole milk and 100ml double cream until warm.
- In a medium ovenproof dish (approximately 1.5-litre capacity), arrange half of the bread slices over the base.
- Top with half of the banana mixture, then pour over half of the milk mixture.
- Layer the remaining bread slices, followed by the remaining banana mixture and milk mixture.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and set. Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm!
