How to Make Bayou Bbq Shrimp
- Prepare the seasoning: In a small bowl, combine 2 tablespoons paprika, 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper (adjust to your spice preference), 1 tablespoon garlic powder, 1 tablespoon onion powder, 1 teaspoon black pepper, 1 teaspoon dried oregano, and 1 teaspoon salt.
- Melt 1/2 cup (1 stick) of butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook until the foam subsides.
- Add 1 pound of peeled and deveined shrimp to the skillet. Add 4 cloves of minced garlic and the prepared seasoning mixture.
- Pour in 1/2 cup of beer (any light beer works well) and 2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce.
- Simmer for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the shrimp turn pink and opaque. Do not overcook!
