- Nonstick Cooking Spray
How to Make Bbq Potatoes And Onions
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- Lightly spray one side of two large sheets of heavy-duty aluminum foil with non-stick cooking spray.
- In a large bowl, combine 2 lbs small red potatoes (halved or quartered if large), 1 large onion (thinly sliced), 1/2 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite kind!), 2 tbsp olive oil, 1 tsp paprika, 1/2 tsp garlic powder, 1/4 tsp black pepper, and salt to taste. Toss gently to coat everything evenly.
- Transfer the potato and onion mixture to the center of one prepared foil sheet. Place the second foil sheet on top, sprayed side down. Fold and crimp the edges tightly to create a sealed packet. Make sure there are no gaps to prevent leakage.
- Carefully place the foil packet on the preheated grill and close the lid.
- Grill for approximately 20 minutes, turning the packet over halfway through. Cooking time may vary depending on your grill and the size of the potatoes. Potatoes are done when they are easily pierced with a fork.
- Carefully remove the packet from the grill (it will be hot!), let it rest for 5 minutes before opening. Serve immediately and enjoy!
Chef's Tip for Extra Flavor
Small additions can make a big impact! Try a sprinkle of fresh herbs, a dash of your favorite spice blend, or a squeeze of citrus just before serving to really enhance the flavors of your dish.
