How to Make Bratwurst Kabobs

  1. Soak wooden skewers in water for at least 30 minutes before grilling to prevent burning.
  2. In a resealable plastic bag or bowl, whisk together soy sauce, apple juice, and hot mustard.
  3. Add onions, yellow squash, and bell pepper to the marinade. Seal and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (longer is better!).
  4. Remove vegetables and bratwurst from marinade; reserve marinade.
  5. Thread bratwurst and vegetables alternately onto the soaked skewers.
  6. Brush the kabobs generously with the reserved marinade.
  7. Preheat grill to medium heat. Grill kabobs for 15-20 minutes, turning and basting frequently, until the vegetables are tender and the bratwurst is cooked through and slightly charred. Internal temperature of bratwurst should reach 155°F (68°C).
  8. Serve immediately and enjoy!
