How to Make Crabby Cracker Spread
- Mince 1 pound of crabmeat in a food processor until finely chopped.
- In a large bowl, combine 8 ounces of cream cheese (softened), 1/4 cup mayonnaise, 2 tablespoons lemon juice, 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard, 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning, 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, and 1/4 teaspoon black pepper. Mix well with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy.
- Gently fold in the minced crabmeat until evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
- Optionally, shape the mixture into a ball and chill for at least 2 hours before serving.
- To serve, pour 1/2 cup of cocktail sauce generously over the top of the crab spread. Serve immediately with wheat thins or Triscuits.
