  • Dark Brown Sugar
  • Honey
  • 2 ripe bananas
  • Half And Half
  • Lime, Zest Of

How to Make Not Too Sweet Sweet Potatoes

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Wash and pierce 1 lb (450g) sweet potatoes several times with a fork.
  3. Roast sweet potatoes directly on the oven rack for 45 minutes, or until tender.
  4. While sweet potatoes roast, peel and quarter 2 ripe bananas.
  5. In a separate, greased baking dish, roast the bananas at 375°F (190°C) for 10 minutes.
  6. Once sweet potatoes are cooked, let them cool slightly, then scoop the flesh into a large bowl.
  7. Add the roasted bananas to the sweet potato bowl.
  8. Add the following ingredients: 2 tablespoons olive oil, 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1/8 teaspoon black pepper, and 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon.
  9. Using a hand mixer or potato masher, whip the sweet potato and banana mixture until creamy.
  10. Grate the zest of 1 lime over the top of the mixture.
