- Discard the bacon grease and wipe the skillet clean.
- Add 1/4 cup Italian dressing to the skillet and cook 1 medium onion, chopped, 1 cup carrots, chopped, and 1 lb kielbasa sausage, sliced, over medium heat until softened (12-15 minutes).
- Stir in 1/2 cup red wine, 1 cup chicken broth, 1 (6-ounce) can tomato paste, 1 tsp dried thyme, and the cooked bacon.
