How to Make 2 Pot Stove Top Unstuffed Cabbage Rolls
- Cook 1 cup of uncooked rice according to package directions. You should end up with approximately 2 cups of cooked rice.
- In a medium Dutch oven, brown 1 lb ground beef over medium-high heat. Add 1 medium onion, chopped, and 2 cloves garlic, minced, and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Drain excess grease from the pot.
- Add 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed tomato soup, 1/2 cup your favorite tomato sauce (or more, to taste!), 1/2 cup water, 1 medium head of cabbage (about 2 pounds), chopped, salt, and pepper to taste.
- Stir well to combine.
- Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and cook for 15-20 minutes, or until the cabbage is tender.
- Stir occasionally. If the sauce becomes too thick, add another 1/4 cup of water.
- Divide the cooked rice evenly among 4 plates.
