How to Make All American Loaded Burgers
- Preheat grill to medium heat.
- In a large bowl, combine 1 1/2 cups breadcrumbs, 1/2 cup finely chopped onion, 1/4 cup salad dressing, and 1 large egg. Mix well.
- Add 1.5 lbs ground beef to the bowl and gently mix until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- Shape the mixture into six equal-sized patties, about 3/4 inch thick.
- Grill the burgers for 5-7 minutes per side, or until a meat thermometer inserted into the center registers 160°F (71°C). Close the grill lid to help them cook evenly.
- Serve immediately on toasted buns with your favorite toppings. Get creative with cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, bacon, and more!
- Enjoy!
Chef's Tip for Extra Flavor
Chef's secret: layers of flavor make a dish truly memorable! Consider what a little extra something could bring – perhaps a touch of acidity like a good vinegar or citrus zest, a hint of smokiness from paprika, a bit of umami from mushrooms or soy sauce, or a sprinkle of toasted nuts for texture. Experiment and taste as you go!
