How to Make Almond Rice Mix
- Rinse 1 cup of uncooked rice thoroughly under cold water.
- In a medium saucepan, combine 1 cup of rinsed rice, 2 cups of water, 2 vegetable bouillon cubes (or 2 tsp chicken bouillon granules), and 1 tablespoon of butter.
- Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat.
- Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover the saucepan, and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the rice is cooked through and the water is absorbed.
- Stir in ½ cup of slivered almonds and ¼ cup of dried cranberries (or other dried fruit of your choice).
