- 1 lb ground chuck

How to Make Almost Payday Casserole
- Brown 1 lb ground chuck with 1/2 medium onion, chopped, in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Break up the beef with a spoon as it cooks.
- Season the meat with 1 tsp salt and 1/2 tsp black pepper.
- Drain off any excess grease.
- Peel and boil 2 lbs potatoes until tender (about 15-20 minutes).
- Drain the potatoes well.
- Return the potatoes to the pot. Add 2 tablespoons margarine and 1/4 cup milk. Salt to taste.
