- Whole Wheat Bread
- Miracle Whip
- Cheese
- Smoked Chicken Breast
- Red Onion
- Celery
- Apple
- Butter (a very thin layer)
How to Make Apple Autumn Sandwich
- Lay out two slices of your favorite bread.
- Spread 1 tablespoon of Miracle Whip on each slice of bread.
- Place 1 slice of cheese (about 1 oz) on one slice of bread.
- Top the cheese with 1 cup (approximately 100g) of shaved chicken breast.
- Add 1/4 cup thinly sliced red onion.
- Layer 1/4 cup julienned celery on top of the red onion.
- Arrange 1/2 cup thinly sliced apples (about 1 medium apple) over the celery.
- Carefully place the other slice of bread on top of the apples.
- Spread a very thin layer of butter on the outside of both slices of bread.
- Toast in a toaster oven or under a broiler until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted and slightly bubbly (approximately 3-5 minutes). Watch carefully to prevent burning.
- Slice in half and serve immediately and enjoy!
