- 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter
- 1 pound of cremini, shiitake, or your favorite mushrooms
- 2 cloves of minced garlic
- Dry Sherry
- Yellow Onion
- 2 tablespoons of your favorite steak seasoning (e.g., Montreal Steak Seasoning, McCormick Grill Mates)
How to Make Avalon Saute Mushrooms
- Clean and trim 1 pound of mushrooms. Slice larger mushrooms into approximately 1/4-inch thick slices.
- In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat.
- Add 1 tablespoon of olive oil to the skillet.
- Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and sauté for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they begin to soften.
- Sprinkle 2 tablespoons of your favorite steak seasoning (or Avalon Steakhouse seasoning, if available) over the mushrooms.
- Continue to sauté for another 5 minutes, stirring frequently, until the mushrooms are browned and tender.
- Reduce heat to low and add 2 cloves of minced garlic. Cook for 1 minute, until fragrant.
- Stir in 2 tablespoons of chopped fresh parsley (or 1 tablespoon dried parsley).
- Remove from heat and serve immediately.
