How to Make Bacon Cheddar Bites
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Cook bacon until crispy. Remove from pan and crumble; set aside.
- In a medium bowl, combine crumbled bacon, shredded cheddar cheese, mayonnaise, green onions (if using), garlic powder (if using), and black pepper. Mix well.
- Spread 1-2 tablespoons of the cheese mixture onto each slice of French bread.
- Arrange bread slices on an ungreased baking sheet.

- To make ahead: Arrange unbaked bread slices on a baking sheet and flash freeze for 30 minutes. Transfer frozen bread slices to a freezer-safe bag and freeze for up to 2 months. Bake from frozen as directed in step 6.
