How to Make Baked Brie Stuffed With Strawberry Preserves And Toasted Almonds

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Carefully cut the brie wheel in half horizontally using a long, sharp knife.
  3. Spread 1/4 cup strawberry preserves evenly over the cut side of the bottom half of the brie.
  4. Sprinkle 1/4 cup toasted almonds over the preserves.
  5. Top with the other half of the brie.
  6. Roll out 1 sheet (14.1 oz) of puff pastry into a circle, approximately double the diameter of the brie wheel.
  7. Place the brie in the center of the pastry.
  8. Bring the edges of the pastry up and over the brie, pleating and twisting decoratively to enclose it completely.
  9. Place the wrapped brie onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  10. Whisk together 1 large egg yolk with 1 teaspoon of water.
  11. Brush the egg wash evenly over the pastry.
  12. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or up to 24 hours, wrapped in plastic wrap.
  13. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and puffed.
  14. Let cool slightly before serving warm or at room temperature. Enjoy!
