How to Make Baked Hamburger Patties With Pasta Sauce
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease a 13 x 9-inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, gently combine 1.5 lbs ground beef with 1 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp black pepper, 1/2 tsp garlic powder, and 1/4 tsp onion powder. (Adjust seasonings to taste).
- Shape the beef mixture into 8 patties, about 3/4 inch thick.
- Lightly coat each patty with 1/4 cup all-purpose flour.
- In a large skillet, melt 2 tbsp butter over medium-high heat. Brown the patties for 2-3 minutes per side.
- Arrange the browned patties in the prepared baking dish.
- Pour 1 1/2 cups of your favorite pasta sauce over the patties, spreading evenly to coat.
- Sprinkle 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese and 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese over the sauce.
- Top with the remaining 1 1/2 cups of pasta sauce.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the patties are cooked through and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
