How to Make Baked Tuna Burger

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, gently combine 1 (5 ounce) can tuna (drained), 1/2 cup ricotta cheese, 2 tablespoons chopped spring onion, 2 tablespoons mayonnaise, 1 tablespoon lemon juice, 1/4 teaspoon salt, and 1/4 teaspoon black pepper.
  3. Cut the hamburger buns in half horizontally.
  4. Gently scoop out some of the bread from the inside of each bun to create space for the tuna mixture.
  5. Evenly divide the tuna mixture between the prepared buns, filling each generously.
  6. Carefully place the top halves of the buns back onto the filled bottom halves.
  7. Wrap each burger individually in aluminum foil.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the buns are golden brown and the tuna mixture is heated through.
  9. Carefully remove the foil and let the burgers cool for a few minutes before serving. You can cut each burger in half vertically before serving if you prefer.
