Ingredients for Balsamic Salmon

  • Salmon Fillets
  • Balsamic Vinegar
  • Liquid Honey
  • Dijon Mustard
  • Sesame Oil
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)

How to Make Balsamic Salmon

  1. Preheat oven to 450°F (232°C). Line a baking sheet with foil.
  2. Place salmon fillet (skin-side down) on the prepared baking sheet.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar, 1 tablespoon honey, 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard, and 1 tablespoon olive oil.
  4. Pour the balsamic glaze evenly over the salmon fillet.
  5. Sprinkle with 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional).
  6. Bake for 11-12 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
  7. Carefully remove the salmon from the oven using a metal spatula. Try to leave the fish skin on the foil.
  8. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Chef's Tip for Extra Flavor

Chef's secret: layers of flavor make a dish truly memorable! Consider what a little extra something could bring – perhaps a touch of acidity like a good vinegar or citrus zest, a hint of smokiness from paprika, a bit of umami from mushrooms or soy sauce, or a sprinkle of toasted nuts for texture. Experiment and taste as you go!
