  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 2 large eggs
  • Brown Sugar
  • 120ml buttermilk
  • Olive Oil
  • Self Raising Flour
  • Plain Flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

How to Make Banana And Strawberry Bread

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Grease and flour a 26cm x 8cm loaf tin.
  3. In a large bowl, mash 3 ripe bananas with a fork until mostly smooth.
  4. Add 2 large eggs, 100g granulated sugar, 120ml buttermilk, and 60ml vegetable oil to the mashed bananas. Whisk until well combined.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together 200g all-purpose flour, 50g whole wheat flour, 2 tsp baking powder, and 1 tsp ground cinnamon.
  6. Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined. Do not overmix.
  7. Fold in 1 cup of chopped fresh strawberries.
  8. Pour batter into the prepared loaf tin and bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a wooden skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Let the bread cool in the tin for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
  10. Serve warm or at room temperature. Enjoy with a dollop of strawberry jam or whipped cream (optional).
