Ingredients for Beef With Green Pepper

  • 1 lb thinly sliced beef
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 egg white
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • Sherry Wine
  • 4 tbsp cooking oil (vegetable, canola, or peanut)
  • Green Peppers
  • 1/2 tsp salt

How to Make Beef With Green Pepper

  1. Marinate 1 lb beef (thinly sliced) in 2 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp cornstarch, 1 tbsp sherry, 1 egg white, and 1 tsp sesame oil for at least 30 minutes (longer is better!).
  2. Heat 2 tbsp oil in a wok or large frying pan over high heat until shimmering.
  3. Add 1 large green bell pepper (sliced) and 1/2 tsp salt. Stir-fry for 2 minutes until slightly softened.
  4. Remove green pepper from pan and set aside.
  5. Add 2 more tbsp oil to the pan and heat until shimmering.
  6. Add the marinated beef to the hot pan. Stir-fry for 3 minutes until browned and slightly cooked.
  7. Add the cooked green pepper back to the pan and stir-fry for 1 more minute to combine.
  8. Serve immediately over rice. Garnish with sesame seeds (optional).
