- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- Sherry Wine
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- Fresh Ginger
- Shortening
- Bell Peppers

How to Make Beef With Green Peppers
- In a bowl, dredge 1 lb beef strips with 2 tbsp cornstarch, 1 tbsp sherry, 1 tbsp soy sauce, and 1 tsp grated ginger.
- Heat 2 tbsp vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the beef strips and stir-fry until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
- Add 1 large green bell pepper (sliced) to the skillet and stir-fry for 1 minute until slightly softened.
- Add 1/2 tsp salt (or to taste).
- Return the beef to the skillet. Add 1 tbsp soy sauce and 1 tbsp sugar.
- Stir-fry for another 2 minutes until heated through and the sauce has thickened slightly.
- Serve immediately over cooked rice.
