How to Make Beef With Mushrooms Crock Pot Recipe
- Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add 2 lbs beef stew meat, 1 lb cremini mushrooms (sliced), 4 cloves garlic (minced), and 1 medium onion (chopped). Brown the beef and vegetables for about 8-10 minutes, until beef is browned on all sides.
- Transfer the beef and vegetable mixture to your slow cooker.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together 1 cup beef broth, 1/2 cup red wine (optional), 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce, 1 tablespoon soy sauce, 1 teaspoon dried thyme, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 1/4 teaspoon black pepper.
