How to Make Big Sandwich Spread
- In a large bowl, combine all spread ingredients and mix thoroughly until well combined.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) for 5 minutes. This will help warm the bread slightly.
- Slice a loaf of French bread lengthwise. If using a large loaf, you may need to cut it into two smaller halves lengthwise first.
- Generously spread the mixture evenly on the inside of both halves of the French bread.
- Layer your desired sandwich meats (such as ham, turkey, roast beef, etc.) onto the bottom half of the bread.
- Add pickles or any other desired toppings (lettuce, tomato, cheese etc.).
- Carefully place the top half of the bread on top of the fillings.
- Using a serrated knife, slice the sandwich into individual servings.
- For a warm and melty sandwich, you can wrap it in foil and warm it in the preheated oven for 5-7 minutes.
Chef's Tip for Extra Flavor
Want to unlock deeper, more complex flavors? Try toasting your whole spices before grinding them, or blooming ground spices in a little warm oil to enhance their aroma. Deglazing your pan with a bit of stock, wine, or even water after browning ingredients can capture those tasty caramelized bits, adding richness to your dish.
