How to Make Christmas Breakfast Strudels

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the cream cheese, sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
  3. Gently fold in the cranberries and pecans.
  4. On a lightly floured surface, roll out one sheet of puff pastry to a 12x10 inch rectangle.
  5. Spread half of the cream cheese mixture evenly over the puff pastry.
  6. Fold the pastry in half, pressing the edges to seal.
  7. Cut the pastry into 3 equal strips.
  8. Cut each strip into 3 smaller pieces, creating 9 strudels.
  9. Place the strudels onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  10. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown. (Add 20-25 minutes to baking time if baking from frozen).
  11. Let cool slightly before serving. Dust with powdered sugar (optional).
