Ingredients for Italian Burritos
- Mild Italian Sausage
- Frozen Spinach
- 2 cups Alfredo sauce
- Fresh Basil
- Flour Tortillas
- 1 1/2 cups spaghetti sauce
- Parmesan Cheese
How to Make Italian Burritos
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Grease a 13x9 inch baking dish with cooking spray or butter.
- Remove 1 lb Johnsonville Italian Sausage from casings; brown in a large skillet over medium heat, breaking it up with a spoon. Drain off excess grease.
- Add 10 oz fresh spinach (chopped), 2 cups Alfredo sauce, and 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil to the skillet with the sausage. Stir to combine and cook until spinach is wilted (about 3-5 minutes).
- Lay out 8 large flour tortillas. Divide the sausage mixture evenly among the tortillas. Roll each tortilla tightly and place seam-side down in the prepared baking dish.
- Top the rolled tortillas with 1 1/2 cups your favorite spaghetti sauce and 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until heated through and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Chef's Tip for Extra Flavor
Elevate your dish with simple flavor boosters! A final flourish of freshly chopped herbs can add incredible brightness, while a squeeze of lemon or lime juice right before serving can awaken all the flavors. Don't underestimate a sprinkle of quality finishing salt or a drizzle of good olive oil to make your creation shine.
