How to Make Kalakand
- In a large, microwave-safe bowl, combine 2 cups milk powder, 1 cup granulated sugar, and 1 cup ricotta cheese. Mix thoroughly until well combined.

- Gently stir in 2-3 strands of saffron.
- Pour the mixture into a greased 8x8 inch baking dish or similar sized container. Allow to cool completely at room temperature.
- Once cooled, garnish with 1 teaspoon cardamom powder, 1/4 cup chopped cashew nuts, and 1/4 cup slivered almonds.
