How to Make Simple Prawn Bhuna

  1. In a bowl, combine 1 tbsp chili powder, 2 minced garlic cloves, 1 tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp garam masala, and 1 tbsp lemon juice.
  2. Add 500g peeled and deveined prawns to the bowl. Mix well to coat the prawns in the marinade. Marinate for 15 minutes.
  3. Heat 2 tbsp of vegetable oil in a pan over low heat. Add 1 large finely chopped onion and cook for 8-10 minutes, until golden brown.
  4. Add the marinated prawns, along with the marinade, salt to taste, and 1/4 cup water (or more if needed) to the pan. Cook for 10 minutes, or until the prawns are pink and cooked through, and most of the water has evaporated.
  5. Remove the seeds from 1-2 fresh chilies (optional) and finely chop them.
  6. Garnish the dish with the chopped fresh chilies and 2 tbsp chopped fresh coriander. Serve hot with rice and naan bread.
